Dr Hayman helped set up the exacting standards required to run a top class service. He is particularly interested in monitoring nerves during spine procedures utilizing techniques that either stimulates the nerves to make sure they are working well, or monitoring their responses if touched or encroached on by the surgical techniques. This equates to added safety for preservation of nerve function and a safer outcome for the patients as well as optimizing surgical techniques and positioning of instrumentation.
