Secretaries:
Denise Elder, JP

Denise Elder, JP

Denise has joined our practice as a secretary after working with a Professor of hand surgery and a rheumatologist for several years.  Prior to this Denise managed a private orthopaedic hospital in the Western Suburbs for over 20 years and consequently comes to us with a broad knowledge of the health care system.

Outside of work Denise has many interests but her main passion in her life is swimming which has carried her to several areas of the world, including Italy, The Dardanelles, Hawaii, USA, Fiji, Vanuatu and France to name a few.  Being a keen ocean swimmer, Denise swims all year round braving the elements and the challenges that encompass this outdoor sport.  She is currently preparing for a trip to swim the Gibraltar Straits in September 2010 with a group of fellow-minded adventurers. To compliment her keen interest in keeping fit and healthy Denise intends to trek the Larapinta trail in Central Australia this year.

When Denise isn’t swimming or trekking she enjoys a good book, a game of bridge, visits to the Art Gallery, live theatre or film going.   Travel plays a large part in her life and Denise has lived abroad both in England and in Italy, managing to learn a few vital words of Italian and embracing the culture.

Denise is looking forward to being part of the “Pope Team” which will be located primarily at North Sydney but also maintaining weekly consulting sessions at Burwood on Wednesday.
